Streetlife Radio prides itself on its training delivery service and participant involvement. To date, over 200 participants have improved their employability while others improved their softer and functional skills ahead of embarking on further education.
Streetlife Radio wants to get you, the community, involved in your radio station. We run courses throughout the year for a variety of ages and abilities at our hub situated in Waltham Forest College or if you have a space, we can come to you and deliver a taster workshop.
Through our new and growing partnership with Waltham Forest College we now offer Northern Council for Further Education (NCFE) accredited courses in Radio Broadcasting so it’s a real chance to get hands-on experience and a qualification in something you’re really interested in.
All courses/training are delivered using industry standard equipment by tutors with a range of media experience, knowledge and expertise. We also have a volunteer training programme, where you can get to see what goes on behind-the-scenes, shadow a member of the crew and you may even get some time on air.
The added advantage of flexibility and fluidness of our courses allows for delivery to any age range (11+), academic level or media interest. Taster workshops can also be delivered with a focus on specific themes or subject to satisfy corporate, organisation or group needs.
